Type the Apple key symbols ⌘, ⌥ and ⌤

The Apple Mac keyboard has some strange (or at least unique) keys that force you to write things like Command or CMD, Option or OPT and another is Enter.
Wouldn't it be so much more refined to write ⌘, ⌥ or ⌤?
Well, you can write these in a blog by using the HTML entities "& #8984" (without the space between & and # -- and, of course, no quotes --, because with them the ⌘ appears), "& #8997" (again, no space) for ⌥ and finally "& #8996" for ⌤
However, I'd also like to know how to type these in, for example, a forum post or an email. If I find out. I'll post.
I found out about this in this post which talks about ⌘. The other two symbols I found just by trial and error and, essentially lack of anything better to do.
