Draftsmanship for the less-gifted

OK, maybe this title is a bit extreme but as described here this technique may allow totally artless people like me to produce stunning graphical designs as shown in this tutorial.
Not sure, however, if I'm ever going to have the patience to set about learning something as involved as this. let's see.
