Guake -- Yakuake for Gnome?
With Yakuake working so well for me, I'm not sure I need something that looks almost exactly the same. Guake, however is specifically for Gnome while Yakuake is a KDE app (although I've only ever had minor difficulties getting it to work fine in Gnome). In a quieter moment I might try it out just to see does it do anything better.
Edit (3/08/08):
Well, I did try it out in Ubuntu II (alpha3) and it is very similar to Yakuake. It essentially does everything that Yakuake does and even uses the same default F12 launch key.
However, there doesn't seem to be any means to reduce the width of the Guake window -- only full screen width seems to be available. Another feature I didn't like was that it receded and returned very jerkily while Yakauke does this in a more subtle manner. So, it didn't take me much time to decide to go back to Yakuake.
