Thumb-Drive tips and comments

I have two drives.
The first is a 4 GB drive from whuich I can run Puppy Linux and this works well. However, it only works on the Dell desktop and the MacBook doesn't see it at all.
The second is a 1GB drive which has some guy's PhD thesis on it.
