Screen monitor calibration tool.
This could be useful.
Actually, I've just tried this out and it's very simple. In fact I just used the recommended Contrast and Brightness and it really made a noticeable difference to my screen quality.
The recommended settings were 100% Contrast and 25% Brigghtness.
While this gave a major improvement on the Dell, on the MacBook it looked crap.
By trial and error, I found that the best setting for the Mac were Contrast: 10% of the way between Normal and Max. Brightness, 12 (out of 16 total) buttons lit up (if you know what I mean).
However, even with this, the improvemnet was nowhere near as spectacular as it was on the Dell. But maybe this was because the Dell settings just happened to be way off optimal.
