GMail assistant: alerts when you get mail.

There's quite a few of these things around but I've never actually come across one that works reliably every time.
Maybe this one doesn't either.
I used to use the Gmail screenlet by Whyse in Ubuntu. But, although it looked very good, it simply didn't work.
I'm going to try this one out.
