Extend your wireless range inside your house.

Here's a recent article on this subject that I'm considering for my own house. We have six computers, two of which are laptops which largely run on wireless.
In essence, the impression I get is that this is neither something easy, certain to work nor cheap.

I spoke to my ISP today about the above subject given it's one I may well have to do something about soon here in the house.
However, after first telling me they did not support Linux, he then told me they had no advice to offer regarding repeaters or extenders. The only thing he could suggest was to check each one of the 13 channels of wireless broadcasting available from the router to see which was best.
This, I felt was a poor response and seemed to come from an inexperienced guy. However, a well-trained inexperienced guy will always refer the question to a more experienced colleague rather than just blurting out any old rubbish.
